Air Greenland is planning to use its new Dash 8 airplane for scheduled flights between Nuuk in Greenland and Reykjavík during peak season, June 26 to September 4.
The goal is to offer travelers a new connection between Europe and America via Iceland.
At the same time the airline hopes to attract more foreign visitors to Greenland and promises prices at a competitive rate, Sermitsiaq reports.
Air Greenlands administrative director Michael Binzer said there are also plans to change the routes between Kangerlussuaq in Greenland and Kastrup International Airport in Denmark.

Canada won't be the hopping off point for flights to Greenland as many hoped. Instead Reykjavík is the lucky hub for flights from Nuuk.
