Greenland: happy over wins at AWG
Nuuk may bid for the Arctic Winter Games in 2016.

The faces of happy medal-winners from Greenland's contingent to the Arctic Winter Games say it all.



"We know we would win at the AWG," Minik Møller Platou told KNR's television program Qanorooq.

Although they were tired after long trip from Grand Prairie, Alberta, the participants the these games had already shrugged off their jet lag by early this week.

Greenland won gold in Dene-games in AWG.

"Before we took away from Greenland, I promised my family and friends, that
I will come back to Greenland with gold," said Ulloriaq Kreutzman.

Platou won gold in stick pull, and Ulloriaq Kreutzmann won gold
in Finger Pull.

The municipality of Sermersooq and parliament in Greenland are looking at holding the games in Nuuk, in 2016.
